With Chicago Fire S11 ending on a cliffhanger that might kill off one of fan-favorite supporting characters, we've been nervously awaiting an update.
Chicago Fire has had many interesting and likable characters over the years, and while the main cast is fairly limited now (with Stella almost gone with the OG Golden Trio), the fan-favorite supporting characters are still with us, alive and doing well...well, almost all of them are, if you know what we mean.
Season 11 ended on a massive cliffhanger that may kill off a fan-favorite supporting character.
In the last episode, Mouch was the victim of one of the phone calls, and just when we thought the man was fine, we literally saw him lying in a hospital bed... And then the last episode ended.
While we'd call it a Dick move rather than a cliffhanger (FYI, we mean series creator Dick Wolf), the situation we're in is no less frustrating: Mouch is devastated and while he is literally in the hospital, no less frustrating is the situation we find ourselves in. That said, it can survive, it already has and we doubt it will do it twice.
Herrmann actor David Eigenberg finally has to deal with the possible death of his co-star next season and like us he doesn't know Mouch's whereabouts but he doesn't really know, not that his friend is leaving the Chicago Fire.
Especially not like that.
“I don't know what they're going to do, but I don't want to lose Christian [Stolte, the Mouch actor] because that would be a big hole in my life. There is a lot of love in our show. When we come back from the strike, we'll have season 12."We were often together," he said. Eigenberg confessed.
For the actor, it's a very personal matter: just as his Herrmann and Stolte's Mouch are friends on screen, these two actors are best friends in real life. Should it turn out that Mouch is dead at the beginning of S12, it will be difficult for Eigenberg.
“We've been through a lot. We've been through a lot in our program.I saw Christian become a grandfather. Christian is one of the funniest guys on the show. He's a real Smurf, but man, he's funny.
We laugh a lot every day. I don't want to lose anyone on the show.We have a large group. "We don't have idiots," he said. said David. We wholeheartedly agree with Eigenberg on this point: the loss of Mouch would be a devastating blow to many fans, and it would be a disastrous start for S12 if Herrmann had to suffer the loss, despite knowing that the actor himself was also in real life life was affected.
